SHEMA

Hear, O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.
Blessed be the name of the glory of His kingdom forever.
You shall love the Lord your God
With all your heart,
With all your soul and
With all your might.
These words which I command you shall be on your heart.
You shall teach them thoroughly to your children and
You shall speak of them
When you sit in your house...
When you walk on the road...
When you lie down...
When you rise up.
You shall bind them as a sign upon your arm, and
They shall be for you a reminder between your eyes.
You shall write them
Upon the doorposts of your house and
Upon your gates.

Veni Sancte Spiritus

Come, Holy Spirit.
Send forth the heavenly radiance of Your Light.
Come, Father of the poor.
Come, Giver of gifts.
Come Light of the heart.
Greatest Comforter.
Sweet Guest of the soul.
Sweet Consolation.
In labor, rest.
In heat, temperance.
In tears, solaces most blessed Light.
Fill the inmost heart of your faithful.
Without your grace there is nothing in us,
Nothing that is not harmful.
Bend that which is inflexible.
Fire that which is chilled.
Correct what goes astray.
Give to your faithful, those who trust in You,
The sevenfold Gifts.
Grant the reward of virtue.
Grant the deliverance of salvation.
Grant eternal joy. Amen. Alleluia.

Saint Patrick's Breastplate

I arise today
through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
through the belief in the Threeness,
through confession of the oneness Of the Creator of Creation.
+
I arise today
through the strength of Christ's birth with his baptism,
through the strength of his crucifixion with his burial,
through the strength of his resurrection with his ascension,
through the strength of his descent for the judgment of Doom.
I arise today
Through the strength of the love of Cherubim,
In obedience of angels,
In the service of archangels,
In hope of resurrection to meet with reward,
In prayers of patriarchs,
In predictions of prophets,
In preaching of apostles,
In faith of confessors,
In innocence of holy virgins,
In deeds of righteous men.
I arise today
through the strength of heaven:
Light of sun, Radiance of moon,
Splendor of fire, Speed of lightning,
Swiftness of wind, Depth of sea,
Stability of earth, Firmness of rock.
I arise today
Through God's strength to pilot me:
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to guard me,
God's way to lie before me,
God's shield to protect me,
God's host to save me From snares of devils,
From temptations of vices,
From everyone who shall wish me ill,
Afar and a near, Alone and in multitude.
I summon today
All these powers between me and those evils,
Against every cruel merciless power
that may oppose my body and soul,
Against incantations of false prophets,
Against black laws of pagandom
Against false laws of heretics,
Against craft of idolatry,
Against spells of witches and smiths and wizards,
Against every knowledge that corrupts man's body and soul.
Christ to shield me today
against poison, against burning,
against drowning, against wounding,
So that there may come to me abundance of reward.
Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
+
 I arise today
through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
through belief in the Threeness,
through confession of the oneness,
Of the Creator of Creation.

Ps. 51 (50) Miserere

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your loving kindness:
According to the multitude of your mercy blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
Against you, you only, have I sinned, and done this evil in your sight:
That you might be justified when you speak, and be clear when you judge.
Behold, I was shaped in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts: and
In the hidden part you shall make me to know wisdom.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me to hear joy and gladness;
That the bones which you have broken may rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins, and
Blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and
Renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from your presence; and
Take not your holy spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and
Uphold me with your free spirit.
Then will I teach transgressors your ways and
Sinners shall be converted to you.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God,
You God of my salvation and
My tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness.
O Lord, open you my lips and
My mouth shall show forth your praise.
For you desire not sacrifice;
Else would I give it:
You delight not in burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
A broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
Do good in your good pleasure to Zion:
Build you the walls of Jerusalem.
Then shall you be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
With burnt offering and whole burnt offering:
Then shall they offer bullocks on Your altar.

Chaplet of Divine Mercy

"Eternal Father,

I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity

Of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ,

In atonement for our sins and those of the whole world."

of Your faithful servants now and in time in union with Him)

Prayer Types

"For the sake of His sorrowful Passion
Have mercy on us
And on the whole world."
(Because You know His Pure Sacrifice and our poor human efforts to carry our cross)

"Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One,
Have mercy on us and on the whole world."

"Eternal God,
Iin Whom mercy is endless
And the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
Look kindly upon us and increase Thy mercy in us,
That in difficult moments we might not despair
Nor become despondent,
But with great confidence submit ourselves to Thy holy will,
Which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen.”

+++Prayer for Divine Mercy+++
O greatly Merciful God, Infinite Goodness,
Today all makind calls out from the abyss of its misery
To Your mercy---to Your compassion, O God;
And it is with its mighty voice of misery that it cries out.
Gracious God do not reject the prayer of this earth's exiles!
O Lord, Goodness beyond our understanding,
Who are acquainted with our misery through and through,
And know that by our own power we cannot ascend to You,
We implore You; anticipate us with Your Grace,
And keep on increasing Your mercy in us,
That we may faithfully do Your holy will
All through our life and at death's hour.
Let the omnipotence of Your mercy shield us
From the darts of our salvation's enemies,
That we may with confidence, as Your children
Await Your final coming- that day known to You alone.
And we expect to obtain everything promised us by Jesus
In spite of all our wretchedness. for Jesus is our Hope:
Through His merciful Heart as through an open gate
We pass through to heaven.
